A Morally Offensive Number?
by Grimblefig
Ah, Indiana. Land of automobile endurance racing, and home to the largest number of rednecks in any state north of the Mason-Dixon line (I wonder why that wasn't on their state quarter?). By the way, I am orignially from Indiana, so I am allowed to make such statements. So, this Interstate highway, that has been in operation with the current name for at least 20 years that I know of, is suddenly offensive to religious conservatives. That just makes me want to ask, "If you are so 'religiously conservative,' why does that number make you think of something naughty?" Taking offense to this now only makes you look like dirty-minded adolescents yourself. Grow up, people. How much is it going to cost to change the name of the highway? How much is it going to cost businesses near the highway to change their advertising? Regardless of your expensive campaign to change the designation, for how long will people still refer to it as "the old I-69?"

Half-Life 2 is released tomorrow, but apparently some retailers couldn't wait. Alas, for those who thought they had bragging rights because they got it early, the authentication servers are not yet active, so they cannot play until tomorrow anyway. Nyaa, nyaa!
