Now You Really Can "Unlearn"
by Grimblefig
Have you ever seen something, or heard something, that you really wish you hadn't? Have you ever wrestled with the fact that the information is in your brain forever, that you cannot "un-see" or "un-hear" that thing? Well, now you can!
What could negative information possibly mean? In short, after I send you negative information, you will know less.
I felt the same way last night after being forced to watch "Renovate My Family" last night. Admittedly, this applies only to particle physics, at a level that will probably have no practical effect on our lives for at least twenty years. But the silly extrapolations are fun, nonetheless. For example, does this mean that, in the future, just reading an email might not only cause bad things to happen to my computer, but to my brain as well? Okay, so that happens now whenever someone sends me another "Bill Gates will reward you for forwarding this email to ten friends" or "Get Cia"lis soft`tabs - no prior pr.escription needed" email, but you know what I mean.

Next stop, the Neuralizer!

There was a sci-fi (cyberpunkish) novel several years ago where the protagonist was able to use certain printed patterns to induce a desired reaction in those who saw it.

The only other thing I remember was that he had a design tattooed into his palm that would cause the death of whoever saw it. He generally kept it covered with a flesh-colored glove.

YES! I want one! The Neuralizer, that is.

I can do without the deadly tattoo thing.
