We went to Omaha, Nebraska for a mini vacation. We left Friday and went to the zoo. We saw snakes, lizards, geckos, humming birds and other birds, foxes and more in the desert dome. We saw alligators, beavers, mice, more snakes, owls and more in the kingdom of the nights. Then we saw lions, tigers, pumas, and leopards in the cat house. We then checked in to the hotel, ate supper, and had a blast at the indoor water park in the hotel.

Saturday we headed back to the zoo and saw a polar bear, a brown bear, and a black bear. In the Jungle we saw monkeys, more snakes, parakeets, parrots, mckaws, a sloth, and more. We also saw lots of gorillas. In the aquarium we saw penguins, sharks, stingrays, jellyfish, seahorses, dragon horses, fish of all colors and sizes, turtles, and more. We then headed back to the hotel and had a long nap. We spent the rest of the afternoon and evening in the water park.

Sunday we checked out and headed to the Amazing Pizza Machine. It is a huge pizza+ buffet that has loads of video and other games in it. It also has kid bowling, a go kart race track, and miniature golf plus 3 or 4 rides. After lots of fun there , we headed home.

It was some much needed time away for the 3 of us. We all relaxed and laughed and had fun.
