I don't have a whole lot to report as we are just waiting to have the first chemo treatment on Thursday.

• We are all doing ok. Jim and I had a "date" Friday night. We went to The Vernon Inn. It was nice to just relax and enjoy our food. Thanks to Miss Christine and Jesse for watching Alex.

• We all got our hair cuts on Saturday. I got mine pretty short. This is to try and avoid as much of the mess as possible when my hair falls out. This will probably happen 10 days to 2 weeks after my first treatment.

• Jim also cut his shorter than it has been in years. He probably took off 10 inches. He did this for me.

• Jim and I both had to hold Alex for his haircut this time. He screamed and fought the entire time.

• That pretty much set the tone for our Saturday. Alex was extremely defiant and melted down right and left. Plus he refused to nap. Daddy missed the worst of it because Signs & Wonders (a band he used to be in) played at a wedding. Thank goodness some friends came over. Alex was distracted and played nice with his friend Owen. We also went out to eat with them.

• Alex has been better since. Jim and I are doing ok. I haven't been sleeping the best sometimes but other than that we are ok.

I think that's pretty much all. We want to thank everyone for their support and gifts. We truly appreciate it.
